Awww! Spring!

Well my favorite time of year has finally arrived (knock on wood) at least for today anyway. All the signs of spring are popping up everywhere giving me hope that it is here to stay. Tulips and daffodils coming out, grass is turning green and the reservoir is almost thawed completely. I can't wait to sit out on the porch at night and listen to all the peace and quiet that comes with the serenity of living in the country. Of course the VERY best part of all of this is all the new life that has began here in the valley during the last couple of weeks, not just the grass and flowers but all of the baby animals! We are surrounded by newborns! Foals, birds, lambs, goats, cows, kittens you name it, it's a baby and it's around here. I just love it! I think I was some sort of animal in a previous life because I just can't get enough of them. I'm sure Andee has inherited my disease but the more I have seen how amazing these animal's react to her the more suprised I am. It's like she has a gift with animals, whether it's a Dr. Doolittle type gift or a Bruce Almighty type gift I'm not sure but something about her attracts these babies and puts them at ease and they want to be around her. Incredible. Greyson is just loving being outside and shooting his BB gun, I'm just loving that he has space to do it without shooting my neighbors house. On a heavier note, my boss Dr. Bruce Engleby has just recently been diagnosed with Cancer. He had surgery today to remove a tumor and so far things are going well, considering. Dr. Engleby has played a HUGE role in my life in helping me to realize my dreams, my "calling" in life and I will always be grateful for him. Please say your prayers for this amazing man and his family that he will overcome this hurdle. Happy Spring everyone, 10 day forcast looks GREAT!!!!

  2. I agree Heidi, there is nothing like spring in the country...nothing but peace. I loved growing up like that. I too think little Missy has inherited your talent to attract all kinds of animals...but hey, somebody's got to do it, right?
    Love you...

Snack time, which includes carrots, apples or sugar cubes has on many occasions resulted in fights, biting ears, shoving siblings off the hill and down right temper tantrums!

Cortney Woolsey, Miss High School Rodeo Utah
Cortney is in the family and she just won Miss High School Rodeo Utah and is now going on to compete in Nationals in New Mexico I think. Very expensive trip for her family so they had a benefit on Saturday to try and raise funds for her. Andee thought she was for sure a princess. Good Luck Cortney we will all be rooting for you!

Brett Earl Benefit

Brett Earl Benefit
Last month on the eve of Easter, Greyson's friend and classmate Taj lost his dad to a very sudden unexpected heart attack. Brett was 38 years old and left his wife and 4 children with no life insurance. It was very sad but the entire community came together to help raise funds for the family. A benefit was held at Powder Mountain with a silent auction, BBQ, bake sale and numerous other activities with 100% of the proceeds going to the Earls. My generous boss, Dr. Engleby donated funds for me to make some crafts to auction off and it went VERY well! Everything was sold and $10,000+ was raised for the family.

Sage in da' hood!

Sage in da' hood!
Poor Sage had all of his hair shaved off this week for summer and if you live around here then you know that summer is definitley not here! After a week of downpours and snow storms poor Sagers is freezing! So he's had to wear a jacket out and I think you can tell from the look on his face, he's humiliated! :)

Vegas has a new bed!

Vegas has a new bed!
This is the new bed of choice for Vegas, much to my protest she loves sleeping here! What's the big deal you ask? 14 feet up high. However if you have owned a cat then you know they do not care what you think and the more you try to persuade them not to behave this way, the more they do. Whatever Vegas!
